Platform International founder, Alex Melillo, has built an impressive portfolio over 11+ years in the event industry. His New York state of mind proves to be the mold for Platform’s fast paced, result-driven mentality. Alex began his career as promotional director of Local Love Ent, before going on to start Baldwin Avenue Group Inc with child hood friend James Macdonald. After 6 successful years in the art, music, and fashion business, Baldwin Avenue Group evolved into Platform International.
With a vast business background, Alex provides the company an undivided focus on evaluating projects and optimizing opportunities. His consideration to detail propels Platform forward with his big picture perspective and strict attention to brand development. Understanding that the clients demands and interests are of paramount importance has proven Platform to be the nations premier Art Fair production company. Alex received his BA at Hofstra University before attending business school at the University of Tampa.

Co-founder of Platform International, James MacDonald, dove into the entertainment world early beginning his career with ABC’s marketing team. With an ever-growing love of the event industry, James went on to create Baldwin Avenue Group Inc with Alex Melillo. With instant success in the production business B.A.G quickly evolved into Platform International.
James’s creative innovation and result-driven production approach has been molded by his hardworking childhood and understanding of client demands. His hands-on mentality and unmatched work ethic proves to be the driving force behind this well-oiled machine. James’s multi-faceted expertise in production, staffing and management has landed him and Platform, powerhouse clients such as Lexus, Viacom, Frieze Art Fair and Sundance Film Festival amongst many others. James studied at Champlain College before receiving a Bachelors Degree in Communications at Suny Westbury.

Michael comes to Platform from a Finance background. He has implemented these fundamentals in all areas of production, from budget crunching to keen organizational skills. His extraordinary attention to quality control, allows him to find innovative solutions to equipment and simplifying the process. He works better under pressure and approaches event-related challenges head on. His passions outside of work include spending time on the beach and the golfing green.
